Vernita Lynn Peavy forty-five years old returned to God’s loving arms on March 27, 2016 Easter Sunday morning in Hackensack University Hospital, Hackensack, NJ. She was born to the late parents of L.C. and Janie Peavy in Passaic, NJ. Residing in Passaic, NJ most of her life before moving to Wood-ridge, NJ where she resided for over twenty years. Vernita Lynn Peavy worked as a Project Manager for Cognizant, Teaneck, NJ for three years. Also, had worked for many years to other related technology companies. Vernita graduated from Rutger University, in Newark, NJ with her MBA degree. Also, received outstanding rewards of her profession. She was a very hard worker dedicated to accomplishing all challenging fields of computers. Vernita was a good-hearted person always helping her family, friends and others. She was strong willed and believe in getting the job done no matter how long it took her. Also, known as the life of every party. You would never forget Vernita once she attended any type of gathering picnic, party and etc. She loved to travel due to the nature of her job many opportunities came her way to visit London, Costa Rica, and many different states of the USA. Vernita Lynn is predeceased by parents L.C. and Janie, and one brother Charles Peavy. She leaves to cherish her memory:Two brothers Michael G. Peavy of Passaic NJ, Larry Balam of Pineview, Georgia. Two sisters Barbara Anne Parker of Nutley, NJ, Joyce Balam of Miami, Florida. Three nephews Derrick Parker, Justin Parker and Corey Parker. Three nieces Latoya Peavy, Trenance Peavy and Alexia Peavy. Special family members and good friends along with a host of loving cousins, uncles and aunts many dear friends. So many questions running through my mind, I am suddenly unable to speak I hear your voice on the other end, Your cries turn into shrieks This moment I will forever remember, It is a scar upon my soul. I am more sure about this than I have ever been, My heart will never be whole. So many questions running through my mind, The pain stabs at my chest. Tears colliding with one another, How will I survive this test? Stricken with an unbearable weight, A feeling of emptiness echoes inside. The two complete for control of my body. Moving in and out like the tide. So many questions running through my mind, When will I awake from this dream? I hear your voice on the other end, Your cries turn into a scream. She's gone, she gone, I hear you say, And yet I don't comprehend. To bear the thought of my little sister Being someone I will never see again on this earth. So many questions running through my mind, But at the same time my thoughts disappear Taken away by the demons of addiction, The one thing she promised to never fear. As my sadness fades and reality sets in, While the darkness moves in on the light, Tattered on the ground are the broken promises Of the loved ones we've lost to this fight.
