Sherry A Gamble Walton

Sherry Gamble-Walton, 57, of Passaic, New Jersey, gained her wings on January 21, 2026, in her hometown. Born on November 15, 1968, in Passaic, Sherry spent her life rooted in the community that shaped her. She graduated from Passaic High School in 1987 and later earned her associate’s degree from Passaic Community College in 1999—an achievement that reflected her dedication to personal growth and education. Sherry worked at Valley National Bank and also worked for the Passaic Board of Education as a dedicated teacher for several years. Sherry was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She is lovingly remembered by her husband Jerome Walton of Passaic; her daughter Brittany Walton Brown and son in law ,Jahlil Brown of High Point, North Carolina, her daughter Briana Walton of Scranton, Pennsylvania; her son Jerome Walton Jr., also of Scranton; her sisters Natalie Lynn Gamble of Hawthorne NJ, Eartha Daniels of Jersey City, brother Timm Mouzone of Passaic NJ, and a special cousin Tamika Hall of Ewing NJ. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren—Jaleeyah and Janiyah Walton, and King Brown—all of High Point. She also held a special bond with her nieces Octayvia Gamble of Bergenfield, New Jersey and Dana Clemmons of Ewing NJ. Sherry leaves behind a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will carry forward the warmth of her memory. She was preceded in death by her beloved mother Rosetta Dixon; father James Gamble; Grandmother Laura Dixon; one special aunt, Betty Clemmons, and one niece Qwene Boyd. Affectionately known as “Gaga” by her grandchildren—a name that brought joy to both them and to her—Sherry found immense happiness in spending time with them. Whether it was swimming or relaxing at the beach, she embraced life’s simple pleasures with enthusiasm. Sherry loved to listen to music, cook, and dance. She shared laughter and lighthearted moments with her husband Jerome, often joking and clowning around together. One of her favorite pastimes included going out to dinner with her family at her favorite restaurants Sherry was known for her kind heart and generous spirit. Her presence brought comfort to those around her, and she had an uncanny ability to make people feel seen and loved. Her heart of gold touched many lives and created lasting memories for all who knew her. May Sherry’s memory bring peace to those who mourn her passing and joy to those who celebrate the love she gave so freely. She will greatly be missed.
