Paul "Pauli" Bonilla

Paul Bonilla was born in Passaic, NJ, to the late Laura Hogan Bonilla and Pedro Bonilla on January 30, 1966. Paul transitioned to Heaven on January 19, 2022. Paul lived most of his life in Passaic, NJ. Several years ago, he relocated to Ga. He attended elementary school in Passaic, NJ and graduated from Passaic County Technical and Vocational Institute in Wayne, NJ. Paul’s field of study was Culinary, hence after graduation, Paul began his lifetime career as a Culinary Chef. He also worked as a Bouncer and Security Officer, where he had the opportunity to meet and guard several well-known celebrities. Paul accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age. He truly followed God’s commandment of love. Paul, affectionately known as Raso and Pauli, was known for his outgoing personality. He had a distinguished voice and the family teased him about being able to hear him before they saw him. Pauli, A.K.A Raso loved to be around people. He loved people and people loved him. He had many different relationships with people that walked into his life and around him. He touched countless lives as he walked in his life’s journey. He was known for his craziness. Family will always remember him for his Bernie Mac impersonation. He channeled Bernie Mac. He was jokester with a carefree spirit. He had a way of brightening up a room with laughter. He brought smiles to the faces of many people and made them laugh even when they may not have wanted to. His fun- loving nature made him a person you could not stay mad with, no matter how hard you tried. He had an infectious smile for you and a joke to share. He had a special gift of uplifting others. Pauli, A.K.A Raso was a Master Chef who took pride in his cooking. Pauli enjoyed music and dancing like crazy. He made you laugh, and he carried on so much. Pauli chose to embrace and navigate life’s challenges to meet his lifestyle. He lived his life the way he wanted. He was Extra, Simply Extra. His family and friends will remember him for his happy- go-lucky spirit. He loved and cherished his family and others. He was known to show love to most anyone he came into contact with. He generally ended his conversation with “I Love You, Bye.” Paul was always ready to be that jokester loving force in people’s lives. His selflessness, loving, and giving nature will truly be missed by the many lives he touched. He was predeceased in death by his daughter Genesis, His mother Laura Hogan Bonilla, his grandmother Louella Reid, his sister Louella Hogan, his brothers John and Robert Hogan, brother -in- law Karl Ricks, Aunt Marvenia Hogan, And Uncles Racie and Paul (his namesake) Reid. Remaining to cherish loving memories are his sons, Naseem Paul Bonilla, Jordan Bonilla both of Passaic, N.J., Darius Bonilla of Jersey City, N.J., daughter Asia Bonilla of Passaic, N.J., his father Pedro Bonilla of Riverdale, G.A., sisters Pamela (Ron) Hogan-Coleman of Atlanta, G.A., Laureen Ricks of Garfield, N.J., Ramona Bonilla of Douglasville, G.A. brothers, Pedro (Kim) Hogan and Raymond Hogan, all of Riverdale, G.A., a nephew but like a brother Carl Hogan of Lodi N.J., sister in-laws, Karen Mayo-Hogan of Paterson, N.J., Azella Hogan of Passaic, N.J., aunts Mildred Reid of Paterson, N.J., Wilma Hunter of Hampton, V.A., Uncle Richard Hunter of Hampton V.A., special lady of his life Tracy Ziegler of Tucker, G.A., whom he loved dearly, loving mothers of his children, Kimberly Coye, Tracy Smith, both of Passaic, N.J., and Jackie Hansford of Paterson, N.J. Paul will also be remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, friends and relatives in the U.S.A. and Puerto Rico. Paul will forever be remembered in our hearts and spirits; he will be missed dearly.
